Made to Serve – Dylan Scott

Oct 26, 2025

For Dylan Scott, saying “yes” to serving began with simple Tuesday night van rides through La Mesa Ministries. What started as helping his family pick up the homeless soon grew into a deeper calling: serving through music. Inspired by the example of another young guitarist, Dylan stepped out of his comfort zone to learn acoustic guitar—and discovered how God could use his gifts in powerful ways.

Over time, Dylan’s serving journey led him to Tempe Table and the Sunday worship team. Through leading music and building relationships, he has seen how God uses even small acts of service to open hearts, create community, and bring people closer to Jesus. Along the way, Dylan has experienced his own spiritual renewal—rediscovering his faith, building confidence, and finding true purpose in serving God’s kingdom.

His encouragement to others: Just ask. Every serve team has people eager to welcome you in. Serving might feel uncomfortable at first, but the reward of seeing lives changed—including your own—is worth it.
