Made to Serve – Bill McDaniel

For Bill McDaniel, serving began with a simple “yes” to helping others through Financial Peace University—but God had far bigger plans. What started as a practical opportunity soon opened doors to deep friendships, spiritual growth, and even an unexpected call to ministry.

Through men’s Bible studies, late-night barbecues, and community meals that fed hundreds, Pastor Bill discovered that serving isn’t just about the tasks—it’s about the relationships God builds through them. From smoking brisket with the Holy Smokers to watching the Holy Spirit move through volunteers week after week, he’s seen how service transforms not only lives but hearts.

His encouragement to others: Don’t think of serving as something you only do for others. God uses service to reveal your gifts, surround you with community, and lead you into greater purpose than you ever imagined.
