Made to Serve – Nathan Hilton
For Nathan Hilton, serving began with cutting palm trees for an Easter outreach—but God used that small act to open a much bigger story. What started as helping with yardwork became the beginning of deep friendships, spiritual growth, and a true sense of belonging in Christ’s family.
Through playing electric guitar in the worship band, painting a neighbor’s trailer, and serving meals at La Mesa, Nathan has discovered that serving isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. It’s about showing up, building relationships, and letting people know they’re seen and loved. Along the way, he’s learned that obedience and submission to God take time, but every step forward draws him closer to Jesus.
His encouragement to others: Don’t overthink it. Just step in. God will meet you where you are and give you what you need to serve His people with love and courage.
