Made to Serve – Mika & Alec Nelson

When Mika and Alec Nelson first came to Christ Greenfield, they never imagined raising flags and plugging in wires would deepen their faith and sense of belonging. Invited by their cousin Caleb, what started as simply showing up has grown into a rhythm of service, community, and joy.

For Mika, serving has been about consistency—finding purpose and stability each week through fellowship and worship. For Alec, it’s been about discovering that serving is more than tasks; it’s about connection, friendship, and growing closer to Jesus. Along the way, mentors and small groups have helped them ask bigger questions, feel grounded, and see how God uses simple acts of service to build His kingdom.

Their encouragement to others: Just show up. Ask questions. Try something new. God will use your willingness to build friendships, strengthen your faith, and help you discover your place in His family.
