Too Good to Be True

Dec 20, 2023

"20 But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."

When we face life's challenges and uncertainties, it's easy to doubt God's promises, dismissing them as "too good to be true." Joseph, faced with the extraordinary news of Mary's miraculous pregnancy, must have experienced similar doubts. Could this truly be the fulfillment of ancient prophecies, the coming of the Messiah through his betrothed?

As we approach Christmas, let us reflect on God's unwavering promises, even when they seem beyond our comprehension. Ask yourself:

What radical promise of God seems too good to be true in your life?

What promise do you need to hear again today, reminding you of God's faithfulness and love?

Prayerfully consider our ongoing challenge for this week:
