Our Big Top, Big Dreams Gala will feature an exciting live and silent auction, with incredible items and experiences up for grabs—all to support two impactful projects within our community.

GALA FAQ - Big Top, Big Dreams

What is the Gala?
The Gala is Christ Greenfield’s annual fundraising event. Each year, it takes on a unique theme, featuring a silent and live auction, food, and entertainment. The 2025 Gala, titled “Big Top, Big Dreams,” is set to be an unforgettable night under the big top!
What does the money raised go toward?
Funds raised at the 2025 Gala will support two key initiatives:

  1. Courtyard Makeover: Transforming the courtyard into a more functional space with a shade structure, new furniture, outdoor learning areas, and community-centered features.

  2. National Youth Gathering: A percentage of proceeds will support our youth attending this life-changing event in the summer of 2025.

How do I purchase tickets?
Register for the Event – Required to bid in the auction, even if you’re not attending.

Purchase Tickets – Secures your spot for the in-person Gala (but does not register you).

Ticket Cost & Seating Options
🎟 $100 per ticket: Includes food, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), entertainment, a bidder number, and seating.

👥 Group Options:
  • Table of 10: $1,000 (Invite your own group)
  • Sponsored Table: $1,200 (Committee fills seats with teachers/staff, includes recognition on our website)
  • VIP Table: $1,500 (One table for ten. You provide the names. Listed on the event website, recognized as a table sponsor in the program, and acknowledged from the podium at the event.)
  • Gift Tickets: Purchase individual tickets for others.

What should I wear?
Formal attire (no stilettos, please, to protect the flooring).
Will childcare be provided?
Childcare is not provided for the event. However, a list of vetted and certified babysitters from our CG community is available. Contact rbredow@cglchurch.org for details.
What about food and entertainment?
This Enjoy a Big Top-themed dinner and dessert, paired with your choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

Who can attend the Gala?
The Gala is open to anyone 18+ in our Christ Greenfield community, including church, school, preschool, La Mesa, and friends who wish to support our mission.
Are auction purchases tax deductible?
Yes, any amount paid above the market value of an auction item may be tax deductible. Receipts are available upon request.
Can I participate if I can't attend?
Absolutely! You can still support the Gala by:
  • Bidding remotely – Register online to place bids starting a week before the event. (No ticket required!)
  • Making a donation – Flat donations are welcome online.

How does bidding work?
All bidding will be conducted electronically using Qtego software on your phone. You’ll need to register your credit card to participate.
Will bidding open early?
Yes, silent auction items will be available for preview and early bidding one week before the event on the Gala website.
Can I attend the Gala without bidding?
Of course! You’re welcome to join the fun even if you choose not to bid. But beware—resistance to the excitement may prove futile!
How can I donate an item?
We gladly accept item donations!
  • Drop off items at the church office.
  • Mail items in.
  • Email rbredow@cglchurch.org with item details.
  • Complete the donation form on our website.
What types of items are accepted?
We are seeking:
  • Experiences (e.g., trips, tickets, unique activities).
  • Gift cards.
  • Electronics.
  • Bikes, grills, or other high-value items.
  • New items or valuable collectibles.
